Photo of the Day: Glacier Los Perros

In late March we hiked the full circuit trek at Torres Del Paine National Park in Patagonia Chile. This week will bring you a photo series of our trek.
This photo is of Glacier Los Perros near Los Perros Camp Site. It was taken during very high winds where we had to sit on our bellies to not be blow into the freezing lake.

Yo, you guys! Looks like you’re having and incredible trip. I start my voyage in a little over a month. Gonna bounce around the US for awhile and then South. Anyway, I have a question: Is it possible to “trek” in these areas (Torres del Paine for instance) without a guide service or tour group? With a few thousand miles of backcountry experience under my belt, I think I could hold my own. Can it be done?
