Photo of the Day: Cruise Ships & NYC Skylines

The best views of the New York City skyline can be seen from Pier A Park in Hoboken, New Jersey. Lower Manhattan is now under heavy development, restoring sky scrapers at ground zero.

I love this picture of the Norwegian Cruise Line with the NYC skyline backdrop. The ships leave from a NYC port on the Hudson River side of the Manhattan.

That’s a big cruise ship, even compared with the skyscrapers in the background!

I never really realized how big these ships actually are. I haven’t been on one yet, but it is very cool to see one crossing in the NYC harbor. These ships cross in front of Manhattan often, since they have a port on the West Side.
