I’ve wanted to go to the Alamo ever since I saw the movie “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” in the 80s!
Hah! Glen, that is the definitely The Alamo and it’s impact on Pop Culture. Everyone asks, where is the basement? Actually, they told us there is a small basement under the gift shop. Not sure if that counts.
Great pictures! The last one reminded me of Melaka in Malaysia, with all the colorful lights on the carriage!
There are carriages all Old City Philadelphia too, but I think they need to take note of the colorful lighted ones in San Antonio. I loved the lights.
Some excellent photos, I never pictured San Antonio like that, but very nice. And how cool you get to go during the 175th anniversary of the Alamo. I especially love the photos of the cannon and the prison cell, well done.
Thanks for taking a look Pete. It was a photo friendly city, especially with the famous River Walk. It’s nice to see something different. And a city built around a river like this, was definitely different.
I’ve never thought of San Antonio as a cool place to visit but your pictures make me want to go!
It’s a wonderful place to visit. This trip has inspired to us to get out and explore the United States.
The pictures just makes my feet, itch more! I wanna go to Texas….
Nice photos! The bring back happy memories
Thanks for checking them out Ana, glad we could bring back some memories for you, especially good ones.
Wow great pictures Jason! I never thought of Texas as a travel destination until viewing this post. Really makes you realize you could be missing out on a lot.
It’s definitely a travel destination. I have been to Dallas, but it doesn’t compare with San Antonio or Austin. They are both really fun small cities with a great relaxed and artistic atmosphere.
My dad comes from San Antonio. I am a TEXAS girl at heart. YEEE HAAA. Amazing pictures Jason
Glad we could make you proud.
Looks like you enjoyed Texas. We’re camped out here for a couple of months after finishing a 30,000 mile RV trip around the states (with four kids in tow).
Love the website… look forward to reading about more of your adventures!
30,000 WOW! That’s a trip. I have enjoyed Austin and San Antonio so far. So much more to see.
going to college in Austin, I made it down to San Antonio a bunch of times. Great city to go visit and these pics are wonderful. Wish I would have driven down and hung out with ya’ll
Honestly Michael, we had very little time to do anything on our own, but it still would have been nice to meet up.
We didn’t have San Antonio on our radar but these pictures convinced us to make a stop there! Not sure if we’ll make it to Texas during our road trip through the South this summer, but we’ll try!
My two favorite cities in Texas are Austin and San Antonio, both worth a visit if dring through.
Everything looks so much bigger there!
What a beautiful visual display of San Antonio, a beautiful town my family has enjoyed visiting before. Great post!
Museum of Art picture of the sculpture is actually my favorite because it’s looks like such an unusual and fascinating place to explore and learn. Would LOVE to win the trip! #VisitSA
I love the pedestrian bridge photo outside of downtown. That blue sky is just calling out to me! I must admit, SA hasn’t been on my radar until just recently. Thanks for sharing your photos…I’m looking forward to visiting sometime. #VisitSA
#VisitSA Beautiful pics of San Anton. I like the night time riverwalk pic the best, but they are all good. Great blog!
I loved the picture with all of the different brightly colored umbrellas. Looks like a perfect spot! #VisitSA
I’ve wanted to visit SA since the 2024 Final Four. The River Walk at night is my favorite shot. The reflections are beautiful! #VisitSA
I like the photo with the five mission bells because it reminds me of Mission San Juan Capistrano. #VisitSA
#VisitSA Great night photo of the SA Riverwalk and Casa Rio. Always enjoy long exposures when there are multicolored lights on water AND when a boat went by leaving a light trail. Very nicely done! (This spot is where I remember seeing a huge snake swimming up the middle of the river in broad daylight. Yeesh!) Love your photos.
My favorite photo is the one of the riverwalk at night because the colors are gorgeous! #VisitSA
All these photos are awesome, but I really LOVE all the men dressed up recreating the battle!

I liked the image of the Riverwalk at night. The lights and colors were very fun! I want to go! #VisitSA

#VisitSA My fav is the church interior shot The lighting was great.

It’s hard to pick just 1 favorite one! I like the night photo of the Riverwalk/Casa Rio though.
I was just in San Antonio but unfortunately it was for a work conference, so I didn’t have much time to explore – would love to go back! Weather was great there, too (I live in Michigan).
My favorite – the picture of the Emily Morgan hotel. We walked past that when we visited last year and thought we should go there again and stay. #VisitSA
I love looking at these fabulous pictures! My favorite one, however, is the one showing the riverwalk all lit up at night; it’s beautiful! I wish someone would have designed the waterfront in the city of Richmond, VA like this! #VisitSA
Did you get to Taco Taco? Or at the very least get a breakfast burrito somewhere?
We did not Adam, however we did have the best Mexican food at La Gloria – Authentic Mexican Street Food. It was such a busy schedule and we had so much to eat during our short stay. But, I am ecstatic about La Gloria.
