Photo of the Day: Boquete, Panama
| Taken by Aracely | 2 Comments » | Photo of the Day
Boquete is located in the Province of Chiriqui, Panama’s most southwestern region. The area is a great place for various adventure activities such as rock climbing, canopy fly over, white water rafting, ATV adventures, hiking, and visiting its many islands. Its scenic location, temperature, and natural environment make it extremely popular with Panamanians, and with tourists from all over the world. This photo was taken of a river just down the hill from the Caldera hot springs. Located near the town of Caldera on a private farm, the hot springs are unspoiled and uncrowded and only 45 minutes by 4 x 4 from downtown Boquete. The cost is $2 USD to enter the property and relax in the mud bottom hot springs. Before reaching the point of dehydration, walk down the hill to the cool river where you can rest on the large rocks amongst the rapids.
What a nice pic! And you jumped into the water for it or were you on one of the stones?
