Tayrona Park is located about an hour outside of Santa Marta Colombia and it is a beautiful location with pristine beaches not accessible by car. You must hike to get to beautiful sites . This photo was taken at El Cabo Beach where you can rent a hammock or a tent and sleep on the beach. The structure on the hill in this picture is an area dedicated to hammocks only. Renting a hammock in here is a bit more expensive than sleeping on the beach.

We are all aware that Colombia has a reputation of being a dangerous country. The country has been battered by drug cartels, guerrilla wars and public kidnappings i.e. Ingrid Betancur.

After spending 20 days traveling in Colombia, we now consider it one of our favorite Latin American countries. The country of Colombia has much to offer its foreign and national tourists. (more…)

The popular Tayrona Park lies at the Caribbean coast near Santa Marta in Colombia. It has some of South Americas loveliest coastline. Tyrona Park includes beautiful beaches, hammocks to rent for the night, food, water and surf. Additionally, you can get a guide to take you to a native village in the nearby mountains. – WikiTravel
