Watch our HD Adventure Travel Video of Climbing Volcano San Pedro at Lake Atitlan in Guatemala
Panajachel is the largest town surrounding Lake Atitlan in Guatemala’s highlands and serves as the base for tourists visiting the area. Lake Atitlan is one of the highlights when visiting Guatemala and many tour bus companies will shuttle you from Antigua for a visit. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of volcanoes surrounding Lake Atitlan, but don’t go swimming in the water.

Love the juxtaposition of colors in this!
Thanks Andi. I had to darken the picture with a vignette because it had a lot of wash out from the sun directly above us.
Love this……brings back memories ofm y Guatemala days!
I miss our Guatemala days too. I know we will be back there again.
What a fantastic old building! Thanks for posting to Travel Photo Thursday.
I love the man with the cart in the front :]
Made the picture much less boring right?
Wow, really nice photo. The colors are great and I love how the wood doors on the church really stand out. Yes the man with cart in front does add something special to the shot. Well done.
